Melissa Stockbridge

Melissa Stockbridge is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and licensed speech-language pathologist in the Stroke Cognitive Outcomes and Recovery Lab at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She received a B.A. in Modern Languages and Linguistics from University of Maryland Baltimore County, a M.Sc. in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London, and completed a combined M.A.-Ph.D. in Hearing and Speech Sciences at University of Maryland College Park. Her research focuses on improving outcomes for adults with communication disorders by improving evaluation and augmenting traditional speech-language therapy informed by a greater understanding of how personality and mental health impact communication.
